My Pretties
I found a great website today. I was actually looking for a gift for a friend but ran across this designer on the Uncommon Goods website.
Kathy Bransfield designs simple yet very meaningful jewelry. I love it... this is my favorite one. They aren't flashy, they aren't ridiculously expensive, and they are so... me. *lol* I kind of want it for Christmas to help me remember that some things... just aren't important. Maybe I'll tell Jarrod that's what I want in my stocking.
Speaking of Christmas presents... I sort of got an early one. I got a new XM radio. My old one was... well, old. OLD. I mean, it was only really two years old or so, but technology changes so much in two years! My, my. My new radio is color, soooo mcuh smarter and just matches my car better (a very, very important factor when choosing car electronics). The guys at Best Buy installed it for me (since Jarrod is a little busy until, well, until we move) and they did a bang-up job on it - and fast too! I had it hardwired to my stereo so I don't have to hog the cigarette lighter plugs with it [I have two, but one is always XM and the other one cycles between Gartha (nav system) and my cell phone charger. Grumblecakes!] Now, they don't have to share! Yay!
What am I watching lately, you ask? (I don't know why I thought you care... just rambling tonight, I guess.) Jarrod has me hooked on The Office. I didn't like it when I first saw it when it premiered a few years ago. But Jarrod got hooked on it from a friend at work and now he's forced me to get through it. After claiming the first few episodes were hard to get through, but if you got past them you would be rewarded, I decided to give it a try.
SO REWARDING. Ack, anyone who has ever worked in an office can understand. I've plowed through Seasons 1 and 2 in... three days? Something like that. Awesome. Jarrod is bringing Season 3 home from work tonight so I can watch it, too. Whee!
So... why is Jarrod so busy? He's on this silly project that is requiring overtime. Not so much requiring, I guess... just accepting of people willing to DO it. This weekend he earned enough money with 1.5x pay that we can pay for the deposits (security and pet) in the new place in San Antonio. Seriously. Ridiculous.
It sucks, but at least I know he's only got two weeks left of it! ;-)
